Krissie Torgerson Fashion

Krissie Torgerson is an LA-based stylist who grew up between rural Minnesota - where summers were spent - and Arizona during the school year. She often says she got into fashion because of her mom, not because she was reading Vogue, but because she put effort into her appearance every single day. Every day meant heels and a dress, no matter the occasion. It probably didn’t hurt that MLK Day meant shopping instead of school.

She had always planned on becoming a designer, but styling found her while she was in fashion school. A friend who worked at Jane Magazine in New York once told her, “You should be a stylist.” That was it. After that, she started tagging along as an intern on shoots, eventually becoming an assistant herself for Marie Claire on the West Coast - assisting other stylists before branching off to build her own path.

Her career has taken her across the globe, working in fashion magazines, with musicians, and on commercial projects. It’s funny - she always knew she would work in fashion and can’t imagine doing anything else. She literally makes mood boards for fun.

She feels grateful every day that fashion is not only her career, but her lifelong path.
