Frederic Aranda Photography

Frederic Aranda is a Swiss-born, London-based contemporary portrait photographer who initially studied Japanese at Oxford University before pursuing photography as a completely self-taught artist. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has become a premier choice for global publications such as Vogue and Vanity Fair.

He has earned widespread critical acclaim for his non-traditional, highly collaborative group portraiture, intentionally bypassing rigid visual hierarchies to present his subjects with a shared sense of democratic equality. His vibrant human tapestries frequently celebrate diverse creative collectives and front-line societal groups. His award-winning work has been exhibited at major international institutions, including London's National Portrait Gallery and the Imperial War Museum.
